Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean beef, cubed
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1/2 c. dry navy beans
    1 medium carrot, chopped
    1 medium potato, diced
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    1 lb. can tomatoes (undrained)
    1/2 c. uncooked spaghetti, broken in 2-inch pieces
    1 c. frozen peas
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. oregano
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Place raw meat in bottom of slow cooker, or in heavy kettle on stove top.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
    Stir to blend.
    Cover.
    Cook on low setting 10 to 13 hours, or 4 to 5 hours on High setting.
    Garnish each serving with Parmesan cheese.
    Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
