Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    3 lb. onions
    2 garlic bulbs
    1 pt. safflower or olive oil
    1 Tbsp. basil leaves
    4 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1/2 c. honey
    1/3 c. salt
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    2 bay leaves
Preparation
    Cook tomatoes, onions and garlic bulbs until soft.
    Put through a food mill and let stand overnight.
    Drain water.
    Add oil, honey, salt, seasonings and tomato paste.
    Simmer until thick (about 6 hours).
    Pour hot mixture into hot, sterilized pint jars. Seal and process in boiling water bath for 30 minutes.
