Ingredients

3 lb. roast
2 Tbsp. oil
1 1/4 c. water
3/4 c. beef broth
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 chopped onion
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (sounds strange, but it's great)
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Brown a 3 pound roast in an electric skillet.
Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over browned roast.
Simmer 3 hours in electric skillet.
Thicken with cornstarch, if needed.
