Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    egg yolk and milk combined to make 2/3 c. (reserve the white)
    1 c. corn flakes
    4 c. chopped apples
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cut
    flour, salt and shortening together.
    Roll out 1/2 of the dough
    on a floured surface.
    Spread on the bottom of a cookie sheet.
    Sprinkle the corn flakes over the dough and add the chopped
    apples
    and
    sugar.
    Roll out the remaining dough and place
    on
    top of the bottom layer.
    Seal the edges.
    Beat the egg white
    and
    brush over the dough.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes
    until
    brown.
    Glaze with powdered sugar icing while hot.
