Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. cornmeal
    1 qt. milk
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    3/4 c. molasses
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    2 well beaten eggs
Preparation
    Scald the milk with the cornmeal added, then mix in oleo, molasses, salt, spices and eggs.
    Pour into well-greased dish. Add the evaporated milk, but do not stir.
