Old-Fashioned Cracker Stuffing(A Moist, Delicately Herbed Dressing For Chicken) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped celery
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. saltine crackers, coarsely crushed (about 40 crackers)
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1 tsp. ground sage
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook celery and onion in butter until tender.
    Add 3/4 cup milk to cracker crumbs.
    Stir in onion mixture, egg, parsley, sage, thyme, salt and a dash of pepper.
    Makes 2 1/2 cups stuffing, enough for a 3 to 4 pound chicken.
