Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/3 c. oil
    1 c. mashed very ripe banana
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts, if desired
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Oil lightly and dust and flour 2 round layer pans.
    Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Gradually beat in 1/3 cup sugar; continue until very stiff and glossy.
    Sift remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and soda into another bowl.
    Add oil, mashed bananas, half of buttermilk and vanilla.
    Beat 1 minute on medium speed on mixer.
    Add remaining buttermilk and egg yolks. Beat 1 minutes; fold in egg whites.
    Fold nuts in gently.
    Pour into prepared pans.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
    Cool.
    Eat frosted or plain.
