Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10-inch) deep dish pie shell or 2 small shells, baked
    3 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2/3 c. water
    red food coloring
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 1/2 Tbsp. instant vanilla pudding
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch.
    Stir in washed strawberries and water.
    Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
    Cook and stir 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat, stir in food coloring. Chill 30 minutes or until mixture is slightly warm.
    Fold in remaining berries.
    Pile into pie shell.
    Chill 2 to 3 hours.
    In small mixing bowl whip the cream until soft peaks form.
    Sprinkle pudding over cream and beat until stiff.
    Pipe around edge of pie or dollop on individual slices.
