Fruit-Salad Cake(Very Special) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    4 eggs, room temperature
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. fruit cocktail, drained
    4 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all
    ingredients well with wooden spoon.
    Pour into large, oiled pan.\tSprinkle with 2 cups brown sugar and 2 cups chopped nuts.
    Bake 50 minutes in preheated 350\u00b0 oven.
    Remove from oven and soak with the following, while both the cake and liquid are hot:
    1
    1/2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 pound butter.
    Cook until butter and sugar are melted and boiled for 1 minute.
