Onion Bacon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. diced bacon
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 c. warm milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    4 to 4 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Combine onion,
    bacon
    and
    garlic in skillet and saute until golden.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add milk, sugar, salt and 2
    cups
    flour.
    Beat
    until
    well blended.
    Stir in undrained onion,
    bacon
    and
    garlic.
    Add
    enough additional flour to make soft
    dough.
    Knead
    well
    and let rise in warm place until doubled.
    Punch
    down and shape into loaf.
    Place in greased 9
    x 5-inch
    loaf pan.
    Cover and let rise about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done. Makes one 9-inch loaf.
