Toffee-Like Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 column saltines (from a 4 sq. pkg.)
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate bits
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Layer saltines on foil-lined cookie sheet.
    Boil butter and sugar for 3 minutes.
    Pour over saltines and bake for 7 minutes.
    (Watch carefully.)
    Remove from oven and spread chocolate bits over top of saltines.
    Don't let it cool and do it on open oven door so the syrup on the cracker is liquid hot. Cool in refrigerator.
    Break into pieces before serving.
