Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small or medium red cabbage
    onion
    1/2 stick margarine
    2 bay leaves
    4 or 5 cloves
    1 chopped-up apple
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Shred red cabbage. Saut onion in margarine. Add cabbage, bay leaves, cloves, apple, vinegar and sugar. Cover (barely) with water and cook for about 20 minutes until soft.
