Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white corn syrup
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine syrup, sugar and water in heavy saucepan.
    Bring slowly to 230\u00b0 or until syrup spins thread.
    Add peanuts and continue to cook to 300\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter, vanilla, soda and salt and stir until blended.
    Pour into 2 well buttered jelly-roll pans (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch).
    As it starts to cool, pull it until thin.
    When completely cool, break into pieces. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
