Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground round
    4 medium carrots, sliced
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 c. chopped celery
    1 small cabbage, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
    5 c. water
    4 beef bouillon cubes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    3 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Saute meat until brown; drain.
    In large pot, add all ingredients.
    Bring to boil.
    Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender.
    Yields 16 one ounce cups.
