Octoberfest Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) jars sauerkraut, drained
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    2 medium onions, halved
    2 tart apples, peeled and cut in wedges
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 lb. spareribs
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven, layer all ingredients in order. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 2 to 3 hours until tender. Serves 6.
