Sauteed Mushrooms - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced lengthwise, leaving short stems only
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 large onion, chopped into small pieces
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Melt margarine or butter. Add onion and saute until it is slightly browned and curled on ends.
Add salt and pepper.
Place mushrooms on top of the onion and stir in. Saute until mushrooms are cooked, but firm, about 10 minutes.
Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice to mixture and cook for 30 seconds. Serve hot. May be made up ahead and reheated in microwave oven.
Very tasty over steaks, hamburgers or plain as a side dish.
