Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 eggs, beaten separately
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    1 pinch of salt
    1 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar, cocoa and shortening.
    Stir in beaten eggs, one at a time.
    Add baking soda to buttermilk; add to creamed mixture alternately with flour and salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir but do not beat.
    Add the cup of boiling water which will make a thin batter.
    Add vanilla last.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in 9 x 13-inch baking pan lined in the bottom with brown paper for about 45 minutes.
