Squash Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. squash, sliced
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3 Tbsp. canola oil
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    canola oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Combine squash, onion and green pepper in a medium saucepan. Add water to cover.
    Cook over medium heat until tender; drain. Add next 5 ingredients, mixing well.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls into hot oil.
    Fry until browned.
    Yields 10 to 12 patties.
