Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Mix all but 2 tablespoons sugar.
Shape into balls of about 1 heaping tablespoon size.
Roll in the 2 tablespoons sugar.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven about 10 minutes.
(Do not overcook, just until puffed and light brown.)
Makes 24 three-inch cookies.
