Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large potatoes
    2 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. butter (melt 1/2 c. and slice other for top)
    1/3 c. onion, chopped
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1 c. shredded cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook potatoes with skin on.
    Cool, peel, then dice potatoes or cut up.
    Put in a 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Melt 1/2 butter.
    Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
    Pour sauce over potatoes; mix lightly. Cover top with remaining butter, sliced over the top.
    Cover with cornflake crumbs (1 to 1 1/2 cups).
    Bake for about 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
