Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Karo
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. peanuts, lightly parched
    1 c. powdered sugar
    red food coloring (if desired)
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup, milk, water and salt about 5 minutes or until it starts to form a soft ball.
    Add peanuts and cook to soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Add powdered sugar.
    Stir.
    Pour into buttered muffin pans, quickly.
    Yields 26 to 30 patties.
