Massie'S Pumpkin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 (No. 2) can pumpkin
    1 c. shortening (1/2 c. Crisco and 1/2 c. butter)
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Sift flour 3 times.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Add pumpkin and flour alternately with pecans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
