Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced red pepper
    1 c. diced green pepper
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Shred cabbage and sprinkle with salt.
    Let stand for 2 hours, covered.
    Squeeze water out of cabbage.
    Boil sugar, vinegar and water and cool.
    Pour over cabbage and add remaining ingredients. Put in container with a lid.
    This will keep well in a refrigerator for a long time.
