*Icebox Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. vanilla wafers
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. powdered sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. nuts, broken
    3 bananas, mashed
    juice of 1 lemon
    maraschino cherries for garnish
Preparation
    Crush vanilla wafers.
    Reserve some for topping.
    Line pan with other crumbs.
    Cream butter and powdered sugar.
    Add unbeaten eggs and flavoring; beat thoroughly.
    Spread mixture over vanilla wafers in pan.
    Combine crushed pineapple, nuts, mashed bananas and lemon juice.
    Add 1 tablespoon sugar to the smoothly whipped cream and fold into fruit mixture.
    Pour over crushed wafers. Cover top with reserved crushed wafers.
    Put in the refrigerator and let set for about 8 hours before serving.
    Garnish with maraschino cherries.
    Serves 8.
