Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. Crisco
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs, unbeaten
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour once; measure.
    Add soda and salt.
    Sift together three times.
    Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add cocoa and blend.
    Add flour alternately with milk, a small amount at a time, beating well after each.
    Add vanilla.
    Turn into two 9-inch pans that are greased and lined with paper.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until done. Cool.
    Use 7 minute frosting.
