Deer Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 lb. deer meat, cut in cubes
    1 c. soy sauce
    5 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    5 carrots, peeled and cut in pieces
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 inch oil
    water
    pepper to taste (don't salt much as soy sauce is salty)
    flour
Preparation
    Marinate meat in soy sauce for about 1 hour.
    Save soy sauce for later.
    Flour meat and brown in 1 inch of oil; drain on paper towel.
    Put browned meat in stew pot or Dutch oven.
    Add soy sauce and vegetables and fill pot with enough water to have about 2 or 3 inches above the ingredients.
    Cook slowly, stirring about every 10 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
    Pepper to taste.
    Stew should get thick like gravy.
    Serve with crackers.
    Serves about 4 to 6.
