Hearty Taco Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. refried beans
    1 c. chunky salsa
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. sliced pitted black olives
    1 loaf Italian bread
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 c. shredded lettuce
    8 pitted ripe olives (for garnish)
Preparation
    In a medium bowl, combine refried beans, 1/4 cup salsa, 1/2 cup cheese and olives; set aside.
    Slice loaf in half horizontally; remove soft insides, leaving 1-inch thick shell.
    Spread bean mixture over bottom half of loaf; set aside.
