Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. sirloin steak (1-inch thick)
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. ground ginger
3 large green peppers, sliced
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. beef bouillon
1 Tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c. cold water
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 can sliced water chestnuts
4 green onions, cut in 1-inch pieces
Preparation

Freeze steak for 1 hour for easier slicing.
Cut in 1/8-inch slices.
Heat oil in skillet.
Add garlic, salt, ginger and pepper.
Saute garlic until tender.
Add steak slices; brown lightly for 2 minutes.
Remove meat.
Add green peppers and onions, cooking for 3 minutes.
Return meat to pan along with all remaining ingredients.
Simmer for 2 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Serve over hot rice.
