Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. apple cider
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. whole allspice
    2 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon
    6 whole cloves
    cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
Preparation
    Combine apple cider and the next 4 ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Remove and discard spices.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 4.
