Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    3 sq. unsweetened chocolate or 4 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans, coarsely chopped (if desired)
Preparation
    Heat sugar, milk, cocoa, corn syrup and salt.
    Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Cool.
    Add butter and vanilla. Beat until thick and begins to lose its gloss, about 3 minutes. Pour into greased pan and let cool.
