Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
1 c. Mazola oil
1 Tbsp. buttermilk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. quick oats
1 c. corn flakes
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream sugars and shortening.
Add oil and buttermilk alternately with 3 cups flour and remaining dry ingredients.
Add vanilla.
Mix remaining 1 cup flour with the last 4 ingredients, then add to first mixture.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
