Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hash browns
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    2 c. shredded Velveeta cheese (reserve 1/2 c.)
    1 pt. half and half or milk
    1/2 c. melted margarine
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a 9 x 13-inch pan or in a crock-pot.
    Sprinkle the reserved cheese on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 or 2 hours on high in a crock-pot.
