Greek Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices white bread
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. crushed dried mint, dill weed or oregano
    salt and pepper to taste
    flour
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
    Trim crust from bread.
    Place in a mixing bowl.
    Cover with a small amount of water.
    Gently squeeze bread to drain excess water.
    Return bread to a bowl.
    Add meat, egg, onion and whatever herb you have chosen.
    Salt and pepper.
    Mix well with hands. Shape into 2-inch patties; coat well with flour.
    Fry patties over high heat in mixture of butter and oil.
    Turn once.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve with pilaf and a hot vegetable, or add to spaghetti sauce.
    Serves 4.
