Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. raw pears
4 large bell peppers
3 lb. onions
6 large dill pickles
2 Tbsp. salt
3/4 qt. vinegar
1 Tbsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. red pepper
2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. celery seed
5 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. dry mustard
Preparation

Coarsely grind pears and mix with salt, sugar, and celery seed in a pot. Make paste of remaining dry ingredients and 1 c. vinegar in another pot and cook a few minutes. Add rest of vinegar and ground ingredients. Cook 15 minutes. Seal in pint jars while hot. Makes 10 pt.
