Snow Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large angel food cake
    1 large crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 large Cool Whip
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. cold water
    1 c. hot water
    2 pkg. Knox plain gelatine
Preparation
    Tear cake into small pieces.
    Put 1/2 in bottom of pan. Dissolve gelatine in hot water.
    Add cold water and sugar.
    Let thicken in refrigerator until consistency of egg whites.
    Add Cool Whip and pineapple; mix well.
    Spread half of cake, another layer of cake and rest of mixture on top.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    I add pecans, coconut, etc.
