Louisiana Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. red beans, soaked in 2 quarts water overnight
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 tbsp. cayenne pepper
    salt, pepper to taste
    1 package smoked sausage, cut in 1/4 inch thick slices
    2 cups instant rice
Preparation
    Rinse and drain beans.
    Mix all ingredients and place in crock pot.
    Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
    In the last hour, add rice.
    Be sure to stir occasionally.
    I usually do this on the weekends or when I know I am going to be around to check on it.
