Cowboy Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1 c. diced onion
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 (1 lb. 13 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 (12 oz.) can whole corn, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
    2 c. potatoes, cooked and cubed
    2 c. carrots, cooked and sliced
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel.
    Crumble and reserve.
    Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in bacon drippings until tender.
    Add ground beef, cook until well browned, breaking up with a fork as it cooks.
    Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and chili powder.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add vegetables.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
