Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sweet potatoes
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    6 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes. Mix brown sugar and seasonings; sprinkle over potatoes. Dot with butter; cover. Place over low heat. Cook 30 minutes. Remove cover the last 5 minutes to thicken syrup. Turn potatoes to glaze. Yield: 8 servings.
