Hearty Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 onion, chopped
    seasonings to taste (garlic salt, etc.)
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    dash of oregano and/or ginger
    bay leaf
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    3 cans minestrone soup
    1 can kidney or pinto beans, drained
    3/4 c. water
    1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes and chilies
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in a large pot. Drain.
    Add seasonings and remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Soup becomes thinner as it cooks. Great with cornbread.
