Beef-Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    6 oz. tomato juice
    7 c. water
    1/2 lb. green beans, drained
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 c. diced celery
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 c. pearl barley
    2 sliced carrots
    2 to 3 potatoes
Preparation
    Brown ground beef.
    Put all ingredients in a large cooking pot.
    Boil.
    Turn down heat and let simmer 1 hour.
