Rosebud Beets And Pineapple - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. water
    4 c. cooked, whole small beets
    1 c. pineapple chunks
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar and cornstarch.
    Stir in vinegar and water. Cook over low heat until thick and clear, stirring often.
    Do not boil hard.
    Add beets and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add pineapple and heat through.
    Add salt, pepper and butter.
    Cook 1 minute and serve.
    Makes 4 servings.
