Vegetarian Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dry kidney beans
    3 Tbsp. acceptable vegetable oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 c. no-salt-added canned tomatoes, chopped
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder or to taste
    1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    8 c. water
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. chopped green bell pepper
    1 c. bulgar
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 Tbsp. cumin
    1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight in 3 cups of water.
    Drain beans and place in a large saucepan.
    Add 3 cups of fresh water and cook, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
    Drain, rinse and set aside.
