Shrimp Fried Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6.2 oz.) pkg. Rice-A-Roni fried rice
    2 Tbsp. canola oil
    1/4 c. sliced green onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods, thawed
    12 oz. frozen raw peeled shrimp, thawed or fresh shrimp
Preparation
    Prepare rice as directed, simmering 15 minutes.
    Remove from skillet and set aside; keep warm.
    In same skillet, heat oil over high heat.
    Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook 1 minute. Add shrimp; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly until pink.
    Add chestnuts and prepared rice.
    Cook 2 minutes.
    Add pea pods and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until crisp-tender.
    Makes 6 servings.
