Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 can cream-style corn
    3/4 c. cooking oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 to 5 jalapeno peppers
    1/2 bell pimento for color (optional)
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except cheese, thoroughly.
    Pour half of mixture into 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Spread cheese evenly over it.
    Pour the remainder of mixture over the cheese and bake in preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for forty-five minutes or until it pulls away from side of pan.
