Oatmeal Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. quick oats
    1 1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars.
    Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
    Sift together flour, salt and baking soda.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in oats and nuts.
    Mix. Form dough into rolls 1-inch to 1 1/2-inches in diameter.
    Chill or freeze.
    Thin slice dough and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 approximately 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
