Marinated Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can small peas
    1 can white corn
    1 can French green beans
    1 jar pimento
    1 or 2 cucumbers, sliced
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar (cider)
    1/4 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Mix sugar, vinegar and salad oil in pan and heat, but do not boil.
    Set aside to cool, then add vegetables, including juice. Let set for several hours.
