Sour Cream Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine or butter
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 c. enriched flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sour cream
2 1/2 doz. dates, pitted
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add beaten egg.
Add sifted, dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
Stir in dates stuffed with walnuts.
Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes.
Cool; spread with golden icing.
