Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    2/3 c. Carnation canned milk
    dash of salt
    13 regular marshmallows
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits (I use Nestle morsels)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine the sugar, margarine, milk, dash of salt and marshmallows in a large deep pan.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling. Cook and stir 5 minutes (or until forms soft ball in cold water).
    Remove from heat. Add the chocolate bits and stir until completely melted.
    Add the vanilla and nuts, if desired.
    Pour in buttered dish. Cool and cut into squares.
