Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour hot water over oats and let stand.
    Cream brown sugar, white sugar and shortening.
    Beat eggs into creamed mixture.
    Sift cake flour with soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture and then add oats.
    Beat well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
