New Mexican Corn Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    8 c. yellow cream-style corn
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. melted butter
    8 oz. canned chopped chilies
    3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Combine all ingredients in order listed.
    Pour into buttered 3-quart casserole.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake for 30 minutes more or reduce to 150\u00b0 and leave for several hours until ready to serve.
    Makes 10 to 12 servings.
